African Aqua Solutions Limited was founded on the basis of providing water solutions that are tailored to the African environment. We grew increasingly frustrated with 'solutions' that were being presented by people, not necessarily from Africa, and that had no real practical application to majority of our population, whether it be because of lack of infrastructure, accessibility, or pricing.

 

Together with my partner and long-time friend, James Taylor (Zimbabwe), we felt that we could make a real impact in this industry because we live and breathe Africa. We understand the challenges we face and through the deep understanding of our cultures and traditions, and together with the education we have been privileged to get, we feel we can make a genuine difference, that isn’t sales driven, but rather impact driven.

 

We decided to partner with a company called Icon Lifesaver, based in the UK. Their filters use patented technology of  15nM (0.015 microns) filter pores to ensure ALL suspended pathogens are filtered out of any water source, thus making the water completely safe to drink.

 

As AAS has grown, that same commitment now extends into commercial water infrastructure, reverse osmosis, desalination, and pool systems,  serving Tanzania's hospitality sector alongside our ongoing community work. We support the 17 Global Goals with our focus on SDG6, contributing to ensuring availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
